We’re accepting Applications for Homestays

If you’ve not been to a Japanese home before, why not do a homestay? Let us at the Yamaguchi International Exchange Association arrange it for you.

For people who are unsure about doing a homestay we can arrange a home visit (when you do not stay the night).

Through participating in a homestay or homevisit you not only get to experience Japanese culture, but also get to know and understand Japanese families living in your neighborhood.

★Intended participants:

Exchange students at universities throughout the prefecture.

★Homestay schedule:

Times between July 2006 and February 2007 that are convenient for both parties. (Usually this will be weekends and holidays. The dates and number of days will be decided by YIEA, taking into account the wishes of both parties).

★Place of homestay:

A commutable distance to where you live. (The purpose of this homestay is to promote local exchanges).

★Cost of homestay:

Free (excluding cost of transportation to your homestay, cost of phonecalls, etc.).

How to apply:

Forms are available in the Yamaguchi International Exchange Association, so please fill in the form and hand it in there.

The formalities for entering the insurance policy will be carried out in bulk by this association.

Application deadline:

Three weeks prior to the intended date of homestay.
