Lawyer’s/Notary Public’s Free Counseling for International Residents


As of September 15, 2006, a lawyer or notary public is available for consultation on the third Friday of every month at the Yamaguchi International Exchange Association. This free service allows for international residents of Yamaguchi Prefecture to consult with the lawyer or the notary public on duty about their legal matters. Consultation is free of charge but a reservation is necessary.


If you are an international resident who seeks advice from a professional, or know someone in your area who does, please don’t hesitate to contact us by telephone, facsimile or e-mail. In the case that you will require an interpreter during the counseling session, please request for one when you make a reservation.


Hours : Third Friday of every month, 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Place : Conference Room, Yamaguchi International Exchange Association

Counselor : Lawyer or notary public

Consultation : 30 minutes per person

Reservation : Necessary. Also give a brief outline of what is troubling you.

Fees : Not required
