Summer fatigue, also known as Natsu-bate in Japan, is tough to overcome during Japan’s hot and humid summer. You can feel tired, lethargic, sleep-deprived, and may even suffer health problems such as diarrhea, loss of appetite, and constipation. Hot days outside and freezing air-conditioned rooms can cause perspiration problems, which lead to natsu-bate.
Here are some tips to avoid natsu-bate:
・Carry clothes that are easy to put on and take off (such as a cardigan).
・Eat three meals regularly (summer vegetables contain antioxidants! Vitamin B is also recommended. Japanese people eat grilled eel for stamina. ).
・Work out regularly.
