Q&A

How do you ride and pay for the bus?

Unlike the train, you pay later when you get off the bus. The bus has two doors, one in the front and one in the back.

The front door is for getting off and the back door is for getting on. When you get on the bus through the back door, there will be a box with white tickets hanging out by the doorway. Take a white ticket and sit down. Your white ticket is called a seiriken and will have a number on it. Look at the chart on the front of the bus and the fee is written below your number. Push the button on the wall when your stop is coming up. Once the bus comes to a full stop, put your seiriken and money into the box at the front. If you need to make change, do so on the ryogae machine at the front before paying.
