Foliage hunting

Foliage hunting

In autumn in Japan, you’ll often hear about kōyō, the annual phenomenon where leaves, in this case particularly of Japanese maples, change color before they fall from the trees.

During this season, many people go out fall foliage hunting. It is a relaxing chance to shrug off the stress from work, watch the change of the seasons, and stroll through the brilliantly red outdoors.

Chōmonkyō (Hagi City), and Kozanji (shimonoseki City),and Tokoji(Hagi City) are only three of the many famous places where you can enjoy the fall foliage in Yamaguchi.
