China’s First Port of Call Within Yamaguchi Prefecture

On August 20th, 2015, Chinese Taishan had its first port of call in the port of Shimonoseki. It was the first port of call from a cruise ship from China within Yamaguchi Prefecture.
During docking, Shimonoseki’s local Japanese drumming club from Hayatomo High School as well as Shimonoseki and Mine’s tourism PR groups welcomed the passengers.

Passengers were welcomed with flags.

During their departure, passengers were sent off with a fireworks display. “Xie xie!” could be heard from the passengers on the ship leaving the wharf. We’ll be waiting for the next visit!
